PS Reamping works great with the internal amps/cabs.just sayin' I fear I could only confuse things more at this point. At this point, I'd recommend that you post your scenario on the Avid board ( ) and see if the Avid 11R guys (Chris Townsend or The Chimp) can help you out. But I still don't see where your going to get cab emulation and belive you'd need another processor somewhere. You might get the signal back to your ProTools track by changing the reamped track's input to Line L and make sure that's where you've connected the amp head line out. It is being used in the path before you get back to your amp even though you've chosen to bypass everything. But it sounds like you're not using a cab and mic and want to come back through a line output from your amp head.right? If that's the case, I'm not sure where you're planning to get cab emulation since you can't use the 11R twice. I know you can reamp through an external amp + cab using a mic as the input for the reamped signal back into ProTools. Well.after reading your last post, I'm not sure this is going to work. Next I have an XLR cable connected to my cab running into the XLR input on the front of the 11 Rack. 2) I have my cab hooked up to my amp head and I can hear my dry track playing from Pro Tools into it with the distortion my amp head is providing. It runs to Line Input Left on the back of the 11 Rack. 1) I have a 1/4 inch cable connected to send in my parallel loop on the back of my amp head. That cable is running directly into the input on the front of my Amp Head where I would normally connect my guitar. On the front of the 11 Rack I have a 1/4 inch cable connect to Output To Amp 1 Left. 1 To Amp Position is set to Rig Output and 2 To Amp Position is set to Rig Input. And under Outputs, Digital is set to Split In/Out. Under FX Loop, Mode is set to Mono-Stereo. Under External Pedals I have selected Expression Pedal. Under Amp/Cab I have selected Cab Always Off. Inside User Options I have under Rig in Embed Setting From set on Analog 3-4. I have all sound FX, Amps, Cabs, Delay, etc shut off. It's input is Analog 3 and it's output is Analog 1-2. I couldn't figure out how to post photos so here is some more details. If you're still stuck, keep posting and some others will get you going. I'm away from my studio and have not reamped with an external amp so I'm sorry to not be of more help. Then, follow the other instructions for reamping. Yes, not real obvious, but that's where they are You can also do this by clicking on the yellow and icons that appear below the EXP PEDAL label on the right side of the main 11 Rack Window above the last piece of gear in your rig. I'll assume that you're just using 11R effects and want to bypass the amp and cabs so you'll want to select "Amp Input" for whichever Output To Amp ( or ) that you'll be using. If you click on User Options in the 11 Rack Window of your ProTools session, you'll see "To Amp Position" and at the bottom right of the window. This can be at Rig Input, Rig Output, Amp Input or Amp Output. At step 2, you're telling the 11R where to jump out of the signal path and output to the Amp Outputs which go into your external amp.
